Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens

Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, also known as The Red Gardens, is located in Bangalore City in Karnataka District. The Garden was originally built by Hyder Ali, the then ruler of Mysore and later on completed by his son, Tipu Sultan. A famous glass house is situated in this garden which hosts Annual flower shows. It has a huge collection of tropical plants, a lake and an aquarium. This garden is one of the well-known tourist destinations in Bangalore, currently known as Bangaluru. It is said that this garden is created in a similar pattern of Mughal Gardens. It has a good collection of rare plants.

Lal Bagh remains open from 6 Am in the morning till 7 Pm in the late evening every day. Joggers, tourists and other commoners visit this place in order to enjoy the beauty of the garden.  Flower shows are conducted here with an aim to educate the common people as well as students the importance of preserving nature for the upcoming generations.


Lal bagh can be easily accessed via local transport buses. A bus to Lal Bagh is easily available from Kempegowda Bus Station. Accessing via road is much easier than any other transport system. The only difficulty people will find in Bangaluru is the traffic of the city. Whatever mode of transport may it be, the traffic congestion in the city will be a challenge to the visitors. If a passenger gets down at Yashwantpur railway station, Majestic is close by where access to buses going to different directions in Bangaluru is available.
