PONDICHERRY – GIVE TIME A BREAK!!!

As the tagline goes, If you want a break from the stressful lifestyle and responsibilities, Pondicherry is the right place for you! Pondicherry, Puducherry, Pondy… call this Union Territory any of these names you like! This cute city takes us back to the history textbooks to a time where the French had invaded India for spice trade. They have left the French cuisine, architecture and culture back here in pondy. The white town in Pondy reflects all these.

The Promenade beach in Pondy gives us a wonderful feeling. The mild breeze in the evenings, view of fishing boats speeding far away in the sea, having mild snacks (Flavoured Popcorns, Shavarma, Ice-cream are some of these) and walking through the stone – paved footpath which is clean (Trust me, this beach gives me a feeling as if we have moved out of India Its that clean and well – maintained*) is indeed an experience which all of you will enjoy..

A view from the Promenade Beach

For me, I would prefer going here after a heavy work just to relax and be “Stress-free”.

Matri Mandir is another famous attraction of Pondy. You can know more about it if you Google or through the official web – portal! It is indeed a wonderful piece of architecture with which you will instantly fall in love with!!! You would need to visit Matri Mandir for continuous two days - On the first day you will be given the information regarding Matri Mandir and on the second day, you will be guided and taken inside the building!

Matri Mandir

The French war memorial which is just opposite to the beach is also a must – see monument.

A trip to Pondy will be incomplete if you do not visit the French colony adjacent to the Promenade Beach… The Parallel roads surrounded with a mixture of traditional Indian buildings and French buildings fills our heart with happiness and excitement I personally think that you cannot see such a sight anywhere else! I have heard a lot about “The French Cuisine” which you must try out! But Unfortunately I couldn’t. So I will provide updates regarding it after I try it out.
Kudos to Government of Puducherry for maintaining the place No offense to any Indians or anyone… The Swatch Bharat Abhyan campaign is active here They always clean the garbage (on a daily basis!) which includes the “Swatch Bharath” Garbage Bins as well!!!

For my dear readers who are unaware, I currently work in SPI Global Technologies, Pondicherry as a Content writer (Content Curation Dept) since November 4 last year. My Humble apologies to all my dear readers for not updating the blog. It took time for me to get settled in Pondy as two of my friends recently joined in our company! I am settled now. So no worries! I wish to go for small trips in and around Tamil Nadu so that I can explore the unexplored parts (Definitely unexplored by ME!)I will keep you updated as I visit different places.

Being respectful - Part 2

Things began changing for both Jon and James. As you could imagine, Jon hated James since childhood and used to snatch various opportunities James used to get. However, Jon's company began to feel the pressure as they found out that various employees began to quit the job due to the rigorous management of the company.  Jon wanted the employees to work overtime and had plans to extend the working hours for the day. He had also made it clear that there won't be any hike in salary or extra pay for overtime. This infuriated the workforce and people began quitting the job.  Jon continued barking down the orders on his workforce and demanded respect for each of his actions. People around him were fed up with his demands. One of the workers walked into Jon's office and told him how rude, arrogant and entitled he sounded. The company was on the verge of going bankrupt and Jon was pondering on how things went downhill as he still believed that he had managed the company to perfectio...
