How Travelling Influence Young Minds - Power of Travelling (Part 2)

A family was out for a road trip on their car. They were stuck in a traffic jam. It is usual these days as construction and maintenance work is going on. Even the narrow roads and excess amount of vehicles add to the traffic.

The father was indulged in thoughts like how crowded the city is in the recent times due to job opportunities and Indians from different parts of the country seek job in this two-tier city. He was too much into his thoughts. His Son, sitting behind him muttered, "Papa, Why is the car not moving?" The chain of thoughts was broken.

Traffic Jam in India

"Don't  worry Son, just wait for two minutes till the signal. We will leave soon." The boy started complaining about how irritating this traffic is and they are unable to enjoy the scenery as the vehicles are closely parked. On the corner of the road, he saw a small boy begging for money in a bowl. He was dressed in rags and was definitely a young boy. He looked unclean and his hair was filled with dirt.

Beggars carrying bowl to beg for money

A kind man gave 500 Rupees to the boy. The boy couldn't control his happiness. He ran to his mother and younger sibling who were on the other corner of the road selling toys on the roadside. He gave the money to his mother who kept it in the small box next to her.

The son told to his mother, "Mummy, did you see that.. the happiness of the boy... They are unfortunate that they can't even go to school to study but see how happy they are when they earn money that too after begging for so long under the sun.. as a result of someone being kind to them.. We are lucky to have vehicles to travel, cosy house to live in" His mother told, "Money cannot bring happiness my dear. It can only give happiness when we buy materialistic things. True happiness can be found only through love, care, concern and kindness one shows to the other."

Being respectful - Part 2

Things began changing for both Jon and James. As you could imagine, Jon hated James since childhood and used to snatch various opportunities James used to get. However, Jon's company began to feel the pressure as they found out that various employees began to quit the job due to the rigorous management of the company.  Jon wanted the employees to work overtime and had plans to extend the working hours for the day. He had also made it clear that there won't be any hike in salary or extra pay for overtime. This infuriated the workforce and people began quitting the job.  Jon continued barking down the orders on his workforce and demanded respect for each of his actions. People around him were fed up with his demands. One of the workers walked into Jon's office and told him how rude, arrogant and entitled he sounded. The company was on the verge of going bankrupt and Jon was pondering on how things went downhill as he still believed that he had managed the company to perfectio...
