Indian Movies and the Element of Travel (Part 1, State - Wise Publicity for Tourism)

Hi Guys, I was just pondering upon what to write for this week. I thought of a very interesting topic. How Indian Movies portray the different countries. Movies, especially Indian movies, despite the regional differences are shot abroad for many reasons. One of the reasons may be to promote the tourism of the particular country, of course, as a result of the tie-up with the tourism industry.

Many Indian movies has also promoted different States in India too. Some of the movies are shot in different states because of the infrastructure and the facilities available. The best example for this type of shooting the movies is in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The name itself says it all! The film city provides different equipments for shooting on a rent basis. It is a good entertainment for common people which helps them in learning more about movies and the effort of different people in making a movie.

"Beauty of a city is reflected in how well you maintain the place"

The name says it all!
Some of the movies are made exclusively based on theme like a trip to some place and the events which take place following it. Such movies also capture the beauty of the place. A good example for such movie is "Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani" of Ayan Mukherji. The Himalayas is shown in the movie in such a way that we will feel like grabbing our bag and flitting off to the place right away!

The Himalayas!

Another such movie is "Tamasha" of Imtiaz Ali. Corsica Island in France is a natural wonder!
Corsica!

Corsican Buildings!

When a movie comes out with the element of travel in it, people tend to be curious to know where the movie was shot. As a result, they tend to plan their next trip there which indeed boosts the tourism. Some recommend the destination to others which can result in generating more income.

Stay Tuned for more updates! :)
