Being respectful - Part 1

Respecting others is a good quality we should possess and if we look into our society, we could see various people who earn respect through their activities and many others who demand respect even if they are ignorant and egoistic.

Jon and James were siblings and grew up with equal opportunities provided to them. While Jon used to believe that he is better than everyone around him, James used to believe in working hard and making a difference in the society. James worked hard and got into a prestigious university while Jon decided to manage his father's company as he was not well-qualified and failed to complete his university education. 

Jon thought of himself as the embodiment of perfection. He assumed that he would be respected and feared by everyone as he would be handling the company forward. Jon began demanding respect from people around him so that it satisfied his ego. 

James, on the other hand, carried out social work and worked as a software engineer for a conglomerate. James was a freelance worker and thus used to manage time to carry out his social work. He decided to earn the money through his work and spend it on the less fortunate people to help them out.  This earned respect from the society he used to live in.

Things began changing for both Jon and James. As you could imagine, Jon hated James since childhood and used to snatch various opportunities James used to get. However, Jon's company began to feel the pressure as they found out that various employees began to quit the job due to the rigorous management of the company.  Jon wanted the employees to work overtime and had plans to extend the working hours for the day.
