Charminar

Charminar is a mosque as well as a monument located in Hyderabad, Telengana. It was built in 1591. This is a landmark building of Hyerabad and is one of the most recognized structures of India. Its literal translation is “Char – minarwhich means “Four towers It is said that the old city of Hyderabad had Char minar at its heart. The Charminar has four arches which faces four different directions of the city. The winding steps will lead the way to the top of the minar where Hyderabad city is visible clearly. The clock on the four sides of the minar was added on later in 1889.

The fifth ruler of Qutub Shahi Dynasty, Muhammed Qutub Shah built this amazing structure. The Beauty of Islamic architecture is clearly seen in detail if Charminar is observed closely. A small garden is located in the compound and one will have to wait for their turn to take ticket to see this marvelous wonder. Photography and Videography is allowed provided we pay for it.

 Charminar is surrounded by lots of street vendors who sell varieties of products for cheaper rate where bargaining capacity of people should come in handy! The Laad bazaar is exclusively known for the traditional jewellery, which mainly includes pearl ornaments which they sell. The Hyderabadi Biriyani is one of the most preferred food when it comes to Hyderabadi cusine.

As per the information derived from the local residers, the Hyderabad muslims living in Pakistan constructed a small scale replica of charminar at Bahadurabad near Karachi. The bustling traffic of the old city of Hyderabad can be clearly picturised from the top floor of Charminar.

October to March is the best time to visit Hyderabad as the climate will be the best during these seasons.  Hyderabad airport is just 5 Kilometres away from Secunderabad Railway Station and from ther local buses or rickshaws are available to Charminar. There are three railway stations in the city namely Begumpet, Secunderabad and Hyderabad. Local bus services are available to the neighbouring cities

Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park

Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu. The literal translation of Mudumalai is ‘old hills’. Mudumalai National Park was established in the year 1940.
