A True reflection of "Unity in Diversity" - Baba Budan Hills,Chikmagalur

Baba Budan Hills, Chikmagaluru Chikamagaluru is known as the "Coffee Land" of Karnataka. If you are a Kannadiga {Kannada Speaking people}, you maybe well aware of how the name Chikamagaluru was derived. Now for the rest of my readers, Chikamagaluru  in Kannada means "Younger daughter's town". It is said to have been given as a dowry to the youngest daughter of Rukmangada, the legendary chief of Sakrepatna {in Chikmagaluru district}.This place remains cool even during the summer season making it more alluring to the tourists. The Baba-Budan range has taken its name from the 1895 meters high Baba-Budan Giri, situated just 28 kms north of Chikmagalur town. If you love to visit new places of worship, then "Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudanswamy's Dargaa" is a MUST VISIT destination. Where Two Countries Meet and Exchange Cultural Values - Wagah Border

If you are a patriot or a proud citizen of your country, you must definitely visit this place. Wagah is a village situated near a road border crossing and a railway station between Pakistan and India, and lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar, Punjab, India, and Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The border is located 24 kilometres from Lahore and 32 kilometres from Amritsar. It is also 3 kilometres from the bordering village of Attari. It is particularly known for the elaborate Wagah border ceremony that happens at the border gate, two hours before sunset each day. The flag ceremony is conducted by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers (PR). The ceremony starts with a wonderful parade by the soldiers from both the countries and ends when the flags of both the countries are lowered and folded. Also a handshake is offered by the soldiers from both the sides. The gates are closed following the colourful ceremony. This ceremony attracts a lot of visitors
