Charminar is a mosque as well as a monument located in Hyderabad, Telengana. It was built in 1591. This is a landmark building of Hyerabad and is one of the most recognized structures of India. Its literal translation is “Char – minar ” which means “Four towers ” It is said that the old city of Hyderabad had Char minar at its heart. The Charminar has four arches which faces four different directions of the city. The winding steps will lead the way to the top of the minar where Hyderabad city is visible clearly. The clock on the four sides of the minar was added on later in 1889. The Beauty of Islamic architecture is clearly seen in detail if Charminar is observed closely.
